Aaron Paul requests to legally change his son’s first and middle names

Seven months after welcoming his baby, Aaron Paul filed a petition to change the little one’s name.

While the baby’s legal name on his birth certificate is Casper Emerson, Paul has publicly referred to him as Ryder Caspian since his arrival in March.

The “Breaking Bad” alum now wants to change his son’s nickname to the latter, according to TMZ.

While Ryder and his older sister Story’s last names are already Paul, the 43-year-old actor also wants him and his wife, Lauren Parsekian, to match their children.

(Despite being Aaron Paul professionally, the Emmy winner’s real last name is Sturtevant.)

The outlet reported Thursday that Paul’s legal documents indicate that he and Parsekian, 35, are requesting the changes for consistency reasons.

As for their newborn, the duo “had to give a name at the hospital and went with Casper Emerson,” but then came up with a “better” name.

The couple introduced their second son via Instagram in April as Ryder Caspian.

“My little man,” Paul captioned a black and white photo at the time. “So happy you are in this world, beautiful boy. I promise to make you proud, little one.

“We have been absorbing this baby for the last month and feel it is time to finally share the news of his arrival,” he continued. “We love you infinitely.”

Paul and Parsekian married in May 2013.
In a post of his own, Parsekian added: “Born on a full moon, he has such a gentle and knowing spirit. I am so deeply grateful that he chose us to be a part of his journey.”

Later that same month, Paul appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and he named the baby Ryder as he revealed Bryan Cranston as the godfather.

“He’s very excited, very honored,” the “Westworld” alum gushed when naming his “El Camino” co-star.

“I love the man to death. He’s one of my best friends in the world…so he was a no-brainer.”
